The Role of Special Educator/Special Teacher with Us

In this role, you will help create a culture where we share knowledge, inspire each other, and collaborate for the benefit of our students. As a special educator or special teacher with us, you see student health as the responsibility of the entire school and work closely with all staff. You enjoy mentoring colleagues and are confident in the school's routines regarding special support.

Your Mission at Smedingeskolan:

• Identify the school's needs and areas for development together with the management.
• Drive systematic quality work.
• Challenge and support colleagues' learning in development processes.
• Structure and deepen collegial learning processes.
• Lead knowledge development in groups and teams.
• Conduct investigations and design action plans.
• Work with interventions for students who need extra adjustments and special support.

You will be part of the school's student health team and collaborate with our special educators and special teachers. In close dialogue with school management and colleagues, you will lead development processes and have good conditions to plan, implement, and follow up on interventions.

Our wise students have expressed the following wishes about you: You should be able to explain well and be clear, be friendly to us students, help both those who struggle and those who find things easy, not favor certain students, have humor, and patience with students who do not understand things right away.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher
• is an educated special educator or special teacher
• has worked for a few years as a teacher in primary school
• has experience mentoring school staff
